Resourcing

The various screens for resourcing received a pretty decent overhaul.

To summarise, each of the resourcing screens have been given a total spruce up and now are far richer. Improvements have been made to the visual colour coding of the resource level per week, with the level of resourcing and availability easy to see – and it’s based off an individual’s work week capacity. The edit resourcing window has been propelled into orbit in terms of design and functionality. Finally, resourcing can now also be edited from the Bench Report – things have just got so much easier.

Edit resourcing modal

  • You can edit all resourcing for a person from the modal (rather than one project at a time)
  • You can navigate back and forward through the weeks within the modal
  • New projects can be assigned from the modal
  • Visual indicator shows the level of resourcing and availability for the week
  • Pencil bookings now set by selecting “Yes”Resourcing comment and change log accessed by clicking the speech bubble

Note: You can still change resoucing inline on the screens without opening the modal.

Resourcing screen changes

Project Resourcing  |  Project Resourcing (for an individual project)  |  People Resourcing  |  Project Resourcing (for an individual person).

  • If they are booked over their capacity it will be shaded pink
  • If they are resourced perfectly to their capacity it will be shaded green
  • If they have some capacity for a week it will be shaded with green (resourced) and yellow (available). The shading of each color is based on their capacity, so if booked to 50% it will be shaded 50/50 green and yellow, and if booked to 20% it will shaded 20/80 green and yellow. This provides a nice visual cue to a persons overall "booked-ness" for a week
  • Pencil bookings are easy to spot - with a diagonal grey shade

Bench Report

The Bench Report has been improved to provide more clarity of a persons’ resource level. Rather than having a solid colour (green, yellow or red) the colour/s for each week will be based on resourcing against capacity. So, if capacity is 40 hours and they are resourced for 20 hours that week will show half green (resourced) and half yellow (available). So, if you see any yellow on the report it indicates availability for that person. The more yellow you see in a week, the more availability they have.

  • If they are booked over their capacity it will be shaded pink, with the amount they are overbooked
