The new Projectworks brand is now live, new logo and updated styles. The timesheet now also has a day view.
Let's be honest. It's been a little while since the last release - but we have been working hard.
While we have been beavering away on one of the core rocks of Projectworks, we have also been planning out the next set of releases. We're making some changes to the way we do a few things and expect to drop some smaller releases over the next few months to deliver some incremental improvements. We are also doing some foundation work for a new feature which will be launching later in the year.
If you are paying attention you will also notice that we have updated our logo.
As always, we'd love to hear from you so please let us know if you have any questions or feedback about what is included in this release, or the product in general..
Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and one of the team will get back to you pronto.
Timesheets updated - now with day view
We have given the timesheet an update to cater for the different ways that people work. The original timesheet "week view" remains and we have added a new day view option. You can still pin your favourite (or most frequently used) tasks and will now have more control over your timesheet than before.
- The day view is best for people who want to update their timesheet as they work or people who work on many tasks each day.
- The week view is best for people who typically work on a small number of tasks across the week, and/or don't need to update their timesheet throughout the day.
The timesheet section of the help center has been updated so head there to read up on the new timesheets!
We've made some refinements to our logo and branding and this release you will see the new logo as well as our new fonts coming through. The revised logo retains elements of the previous version but we feel it is better resolved and more refined.
Here's a quick look back at the evolution of our branding...
Building out the gross margin reporting feature, we have added a new margin screen at the client level. There is also a margin screen where you can see the margin for all clients, with the ability to filter to an office, manager or portfolio level. Being able to see the margin you have earned for clients will provide new and powerful information to help you make decisions.
We have completed two minor changes which were needed to earn our accredited app status with Xero. You won't notice any difference - Projectworks will still send your invoices to Xero, and reconcile payments for you. When the final (non technical step) is completed we will be able to officially say that Projectworks is an accredited Xero app.
