11 Dec 2019 - Forecast charts improvements

Forecast charts improved to clearly who what is happening within the current week.

Hot on the heels of the sizable release which was v3.4 we have a few minor improvements for you. We also fixed a couple of pesky bugs which had been noticed by a couple of people.

Included in this release:

  • Visual improvement to the forecast charts
  • All amounts on the Debtors screen are now tax inclusive
  • Week option added to relevant date pickers
  • Ability to submit an expense claim on behalf of someone
  • There are no changes to the API or SQL views

If you have any feedback or questions please let us know - send an email to support@projectworks.io and one of the team will get back to you pronto.

Debtors: Amounts are now shown as tax inclusive

As this screen is aimed mainly at the finance teams, we've updated all the amounts to be tax inclusive as that's the world they operate in. While we were in there we also changed the figures to be shown to two decimal places. Not earth shattering, but we know the finance teams will appreciate this.

Everywhere else in the app the invoice amounts remain as being presented as tax exclusive.

Note: If you want to see the tax exclusive amounts you can export the debtors details to CSV.

Forecast graphs: Visual adjustments

In the previous release we changed the way the worked and resourced lines were plotted to provide a "real time" view of what is happening within the current week and what that will mean to the end of month position. Weekends have now been shaded grey which helps define the weeks better and also also make it easier to understand why resourcing flat lines on those days.

Date pickers: Week filter option has been added

Continuing on the roll out of improved date pickers a new "week" option has been added on screens where it will be helpful. It should prove particular helpful on the Project Time Entries screen as it will be super easy to see the time entries for "last week" when preparing a weekly report.

Date pickers now has week option

Expense claims: Submit expense claims on behalf of someone else

Depending on your permissions you will now be able to submit an expense claim on behalf of someone else. Head to the Expense Claims page for that person to submit a claim on their behalf.

Note: You will only be able to submit claims based on your company reporting lines (your direct reports and down the tree). Extra permissions can be granted for people who need to submit claims for anyone.

API and SQL views

There have been no changes to the API or SQL views in this release.
